How Can I Help My Students?

INTERVENE: If you see a student being bullied, intervene. Never assume that they are "just playing around". If you are consistant with punishment of bullies, the studnets will realize that bullying is not acceptable at your school.

SUPPORT: The most important thing that victims of bullying need is support. Make sure your students know that they have multiple support systems; they can talk to you, other teachers, counselors, family and administrators.

TALK: Discuss how they are feeling. What is going on at your school? Explain what they should be doing if they are bullied. How do they report it? Who can they talk to?
